RECALIBRATE YOUR LIFE – ALIGN WITH YOUR HEART’S PURPOSE

Beloved Yogis,

Each season, I can’t help but think about ways to create a fresh start. Nature gives us a wonderful example of this with the changing seasons. With the fall and final season of 2018 upon us, it seems like a perfect time to consider where we are and where we’d like to be in the coming year.

Now is the time to recalibrate your life.  Are you out of season or in sync with your life’s rhythm?  Without recalibrating or making adjustments we run the risk of being in the same place next year. Everyone is familiar with the old adage: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

But how do we know what changes in our lives need to occur to propel us to the next season of our lives in victory, power and abundance? We need to take time to get quiet and hear from God. That still, small voice is whispering in our ear, but many times we drown it out with our lives circumstances, situations or problems.

In our pursuit of life and its trappings, we have lost sight of ourselves and our true purpose, if we’ve even identified it. Sure, we may have checked off items from our societal accomplishments list: such as education, career, marriage, kids and a modicum of wealth, but have we really explored deep down inside the purpose of why we are here?  Clearly, it’s not to attain all of these materialistic aims.

The work of being true to ourselves and exploring our deeper purpose is indeed very hard but also very necessary work. It begins with examining our heart and the deep yearnings of our soul – our authentic selves. Below are a few suggestions to maximize your life’s journey and ignite the fire within.

  • Celebrate small successes; Rome wasn’t built in one day.
  • Surround yourself with people who value your worth.
  • Start each day connecting to your source, and end each day with a gratitude list.
  • Make a decision to live more consciously in the present moment.
  • Take periodic inventory of your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Don’t be afraid to challenge your assumptions.
  • Maintain realistic expectations about your life.
  • Release aspects of the past that no longer exist.
  • Identify one small change you can make that will improve your life.

Go ahead Beloved – Recalibrate your Life!

Stay Victorious,

Marta
